From Insight to Action: Highlights from the Nexxis Roadshow
The Nexxis Australia Roadshow is all about hitting the road, hearing directly from industry experts, and turning real-world challenges into practical, scalable solutions using our modular OEM technology.
Here’s a quick recap from our first five days:
Day 1: Brisbane – Red Earth Engineering & NDE Solutions
We kicked things off in Brisbane, meeting with Red Earth Engineering to discuss mining waste management and the potential for acoustic emission testing and laser scanning to reduce risk in high-wear concrete pipelines. Later, we met NDE Solutions to discuss a structured, milestone-driven approach to custom robotic solutions and the importance of involving end clients early for successful deployments.
Day 2: Newcastle – Fenech Group & Hunter Water
We explored inspection opportunities with Fenech Group, focusing on rising mains and syphons using our Panther crawler and potential laser scanning integrations. Fenech Group expressed interest in how Nexxis could enhance their current service model, laying the groundwork for future collaboration.
Day 3: Newcastle – ALS Asset Care, SRG Global & Hunter Water
In a collaborative demo session, we showcased our Panther, Zenith, and Snowcat systems. SRG showed interest in scaling up their existing fleet, and Hunter Water highlighted a challenging rising main inspection project, with a site visit now in the works for detailed scoping.
Day 4: Cooma – Snowy Hydro Head Office & Discovery Centre
We sat down with Snowy Hydro’s civil and asset integrity teams to dive into penstock, syphon, and rotor inspections. Discussions focused on phased implementation—starting with general visual inspections, moving into UT testing, and eventually, a potential rollout of our Snowcat and Argus systems.
Day 5: Cooma – On-Site Demonstration at Snowy Hydro
To build on the momentum, we returned to Snowy Hydro for a hands-on demonstration of the Snowcat and Panther systems. The team engaged with the technology directly, exploring customisation options and CAD integration opportunities for future asset inspection programs.
